Description

This aspirated and filtered safety cabinet is designed for the combined storage of chemicals, acids, bases, and both solid and liquid flammable substances. Certified according to EN 14470-1, EN 61010-1, EN 16121, and EN 16122 standards, the cabinet is constructed from 10/10 mm pickled and electrogalvanized steel, coated with epoxy acid-proof powder applied electrostatically and cured at 200°C. The monolithic external structure is completely sealed, featuring a double-walled design for enhanced safety. It includes grounding for static discharge and levelling feet for stability. The upper compartment is intended for chemical, acid, and base storage, and includes four height-adjustable tray-shaped shelves (two per compartment) made of acid-resistant electrogalvanized steel. Each shelf supports up to 40–100 kg and holds approximately 7 litres in case of spills. The doors open to 180° for easy shelf access, with hidden acid-resistant hinges. A removable activated charcoal filter (Carbox®) and a thermally protected electro-aspirator (IMQ IPX4, class V0 polymer) ensure proper filtration and ventilation. The lower compartment is designed for flammable products, tested according to EN 1363-1 and UNI EN 1363-1. It features a fire-resistant, eco-friendly insulation, a self-closing door system that activates above 50°C, and inflatable seals (DIN 4102) that expand during fire to isolate the cabinet. A watertight steel sump collects up to 9 litres of liquid and supports a perforated shelf with an 80 kg load capacity. The cabinet also includes a natural internal ventilation system with top and bottom safety valves that automatically close at 70 ± 10°C, an external Ø 100 mm connection collar, anti-spark hinges, and the patented “Ignis-lock®” system to keep doors securely closed during fire.
